Our collection comprises a variety of luxurious weaves that have been exclusively designed for Austin Reed, including stylish checks, subtle herringbones, traditional pinstripes and that most British of fabrics, Tweed.
Another unique detail can be found in the linings of our suits, which feature the Austin Reed crest , signifying our royal seal of approval. The attention to detail continues in fine details such as horn buttons, Columbia stitching and piano facing.
No British collection would be complete without a bit of tweed, so naturally, we took our search up to the Scottish Borders, where we discovered Robert Noble Mills nestled in a small town on the banks of the River Tweed. Established in 1666 and with a yarn archive dating back to the early 1800s, Robert Noble has produced an exclusive line of fabrics for the British Collection with every stitch steeped in history.
We scoured the mills of the country in search of the perfect fit for our ideology, and just south of the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales, we found Alfred Brown Worsted Mills. A family run business in its fourth generation, Alfred Brown champions the importance of home grown industries, employing their local workforce as something of an extended family.
